Privacy Policy

🔒 Short version: Scanvestment collects no personal data, uses no analytics, requires no account and stores everything exclusively on your device.

1. Overview

Scanvestment ("the App") is developed and operated by Andreas Kluge ("Developer", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App processes, how it is used, and what rights you have.

The App is designed with a privacy-first approach. We believe your investment analyses are personal and should remain entirely under your control.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect, transmit or store any of the following:

Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number)
Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, serial number)
Location data
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third parties
Financial data or investment analyses you enter
Browsing or search history

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally using Apple's UserDefaults framework:

Saved analyses: Company names, financial figures and analysis results you enter are stored in JSON format in UserDefaults on your device only.
Disclaimer acceptance: A boolean flag indicating you have accepted the in-app disclaimer.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it (e.g. via the PDF export function).

4. Internet Access

The App does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. The App functions entirely offline.

The only outbound links are external URLs in the About screen (Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Contact email), which open in your system browser when tapped — standard system behaviour initiated by you.

5. PDF Export & Sharing

When you use the PDF export function, a PDF document is generated locally on your device. This document is stored temporarily in your device's temporary directory. When you use the Share function, this file is passed to your operating system's native share sheet (UIActivityViewController on iOS/iPadOS, NSSharingServicePicker on macOS). The Developer has no access to what you share or where you share it.

6. App Store & Apple

The App is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain data as part of the App Store purchase and download process, subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy. We have no access to this data. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

10. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right to access your personal data
Right to rectification of inaccurate data
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
Right to restrict processing
Right to data portability
Right to object to processing

Since the App does not collect personal data, these rights primarily apply to any data you may submit to us via email. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the App from your device.
